What readers are saying about 'Life's Journey With The Occasional Alien':
"Despite the exciting elements of paranormal action in the form of astral
projection, this book is really a tense and down to earth drama about two young
men trying to sort out their lives. There's a lot of sympathy to be had for
Bobby and Jack, two lads at the end of their wild days, struggling to make the
transition into finding nice girls, settling down and making a life for
themselves. Add to that an invasive alien presence that seeks to disrupt their
lives by giving them ungodly powers whilst they sleep, and you've got a
relatable but intense plot that has to be read to be believed!
What I enjoyed most about this novel was its realistic British dialogue, which is
rarely found these days in popular science fiction. All of the characters
sounded like real people that you could meet on the street which adds to the
atmosphere of the book, absorbing you to make you feel like you're there with
them as events unfold. The plot itself took many unexpected twists and turns,
keeping you reading until its satisfying conclusion.
Overall a great read for anyone aged 15 and up."
